We offer Nursery places for children aged 3 to 4 years.
Applications for Nursery places are managed directly by the school.

Foundation Stage (Reception Class) Admissions

Beginning school is a big step, and at John Bunyan Primary we focus on helping every child feel secure, confident, and eager to learn right from the start.

Admissions for Reception Class (Foundation Stage) the year before your child is due to start school, are managed by Essex County Council.

Mid-Year Admissions (moving your child's school)

We warmly welcome new families throughout the year. Please telephone the school to check we have places and following confirmation of this admissions are then handled by Essex County Council online:

Once your application has been processed and agreed, we’ll contact you to arrange a visit and settling-in plan so your child feels supported from their very first day.
