Uniform

At John Bunyan Primary School, our values of PRIDE, ACHIEVEMENT, RESILIENCE and KINDNESS guide everything we do. Our uniform and appearance expectations help pupils to:

  • Take pride in themselves and their school
  • Focus on learning and achievement, free from distraction
  • Develop resilience through shared expectations and responsibility
  • Show kindness by promoting equality, inclusion and respect for others

A consistent approach to uniform and presentation helps create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment where every child feels they belong.

This policy aims to:

  • Promote a shared sense of belonging and pride in our school community
  • Ensure pupils are dressed safely, smartly and appropriately for learning
  • Reduce distraction and support high expectations for achievement
  • Be fair, inclusive and compliant with the Equality Act 2010
