This term, Year 3 has been learning about bones. They have been learning the different names of some of the most important bones: skull, spine, rib cage, pelvis and femur. The children have been learning what jobs these bones perform and have begun to identify them in a range of animals. 

As part of this, last lesson, the children got to explore animal bones. We looked at a range of different skulls and bones and compared them. The children enjoyed looking at these bones and thinking about how they differ and why.
