Our Key Stage 1 children had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day. Throughout the day, pupils enjoyed a range of exciting activities designed to promote a love of reading. They shared stories with children from other year groups, designed their own imaginative book characters, and took part in fun book scavenger hunts, along with many more activities.

The day also included a special Key Stage assembly where the children worked collaboratively to guess which phonic sound our staff had dressed up as. There was great excitement as pupils shared ideas and celebrated their phonics knowledge together.

It was a wonderful day filled with creativity, teamwork and, most importantly, a shared enjoyment of books and reading, being even more special as it's the National Year of Reading.
