Pupil Premium Strategy
The Pupil Premium is funding provided to support pupils who may face barriers to learning, and we use this funding strategically to ensure equity, inclusion and high aspirations for all.
Our Pupil Premium strategy is firmly rooted in our school values of Pride, Achievement, Resilience and Kindness.
We promote Achievement through our Pupil Premium Strategy by delivering high-quality teaching for all pupils and carefully targeted academic support based on individual need. We seek to develop Resilience by supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, self-regulation and engagement in learning, recognising that these are essential foundations for success. Through a strong culture of Kindness, we ensure pupils feel safe, valued and supported, with effective pastoral care and positive relationships at the heart of our approach. We encourage Pride by enabling pupils to take part fully in school life, celebrating progress and success, and fostering a strong sense of belonging.
Pupil Premium funding is used to remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes by supporting teaching and learning, attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and wider opportunities.
The impact of our strategy (linked in full below) is regularly reviewed by school leaders and governors to ensure that provision is effective and that funding is making a measurable difference to pupils’ progress, attainment and personal development.
How Parents Can Support at Home
We know that the best outcomes are achieved when school and homework in partnership. Parents can support their child by:
-
Encouraging regular attendance and punctuality
-
Supporting reading and learning at home where possible
-
Promoting positive attitudes to learning and celebrating effort and progress
-
Communicating openly with school if there are any concerns or changes that may affect their child’s wellbeing or learning
By working together, we can ensure that every child is supported to overcome challenges, develop confidence and achieve their full potential with purpose and pride.
