In groups, the children used playdough to create the solar system. By following precise instructions, it showed the children the varying sizes of the planets and comparisons between planets. It enabled them to understand the size of the planets in comparison to Earth. We discussed how large we already thought Earth was and was amazed to compare this to Jupiter.
