Battle of the Johns...

Unbeaten run continues for the Bunyan Boys.

Battle of the Johns!

The KS2 boys prevailed in another league victory over John Ray Juniors on Monday afternoon. The match started with extremely high tempo as both teams tried to play tika-taka style football. Tackles were flying in from both sides but it was John Bunyan who had the extra edge. Jack continued his goalscoring form by stealing the ball off the centre half and tucking it into the bottom corner. James then added himself to the scoresheet with his first start upfront, finding the bottom corner beautifully, after a well worked passing move. Justin, who had an impressive game, decided to get in on the action... another finish in the bottom corner. Frankie had to wait a little bit longer than usual to get on the score sheet, but he too finished off his chance with a great finish. Jack rounded off another fine performance with a goal early in the second half. Final score 5-0. Credit to John Ray for sticking to the task, Max in goal was just on red hot form and would not concede. The boys sit top of the table with 2 games left... a win and a draw will see them retain their league title. Opposition MOM - Jack. Coaches MOM - Max. Thank you to Mr. Stoneham for coaching and Mr. Town for officiating. Match report by Mr. Town.
